myQ technology gives you the ability to monitor, open and close your garage door or gate, and control your home lighting from anywhere using the myQ website or the myQ Control App.

Below is compatibility information that will help you determine what you need to make your garage door opener myQ compatible:
The following garage door openers are compatible with myQ:
- Chamberlain or LiftMaster openers with a yellow learn button with Wi-Fi or Powered by myQ logo
- Chamberlain, LiftMaster, or Craftsman openers manufactured after 1998 that have a red/orange or purple/brown learn button
- Chamberlain, LiftMaster, or Craftsman openers manufactured after 1993 that have a yellow, purple, red/orange or green learn button
- Genie, Overhead Door, Stanley, or Wayne Dalton openers that were manufactured after 1993
Yellow Learn Button with Wi-Fi Logo or Powered by myQ Logo
If your Chamberlain or LiftMaster garage door opener has a yellow learn button and a Wi-Fi logo on the motorhead, or "Powered by myQ" logo, no additional parts are needed.

Red/Orange or Purple/Brown* Learn Button and Manufactured After 1998
If you have a Chamberlain, LiftMaster, or Craftsman opener with a red/orange or purple/brown* learn button that was manufactured after 1998, one of the following is needed to add the myQ technology to the opener:
- myQ Control Panel AND Internet Gateway
- myQ Control Panel AND myQ Home Bridge
- myQ Smart Garage Hub.

Yellow*, Purple/Brown*, Red/Orange or Green Learn Button and Manufactured After 1993
If you have a Chamberlain, LiftMaster or Craftsman opener with a yellow*, purple/brown*, red/orange, or green learn button that was manufactured after 1993 that use photoelectric sensors that do not change to a low power mode, the Smart Garage Control will give the opener the capability to use the myQ technology. You can also use the myQ Garage or the myQ Smart Garage Hub, which are older versions of the Smart Garage Control.
It also works with these different brands of garage door openers:
- Genie (manufactured between 1996-Current)
- Overhead Door (manufactured between 1996-Current)
- Stanley
- Wayne Dalton (372.5MHz)
*Within the US: The myQ Garage, Smart Garage Hub and Smart Garage Control are not intended for use with garage door openers in which the photoelectric sensors located near the bottom of the garage door change power mode (e.g., lights on the sensors turn off after the door is closed), or any Chamberlain Group opener with a yellow learn button manufactured between 2010 and 2021.
