How to Reconnect to myQ after Replacing the Router or Changing the Router Settings
Change Wi-Fi Settings
When you replace your router, update any of your network settings, or change the password for your home network, you need to reconnect your Wi-Fi myQ product(s) to your updated home network. The following steps walk you through changing the Wi-Fi settings for your myQ device.
- Wi-Fi garage door opener
- Smart Garage Control, myQ Smart Garage Hub, or myQ Garage
- Integrated Camera or Smart Garage Camera
How to Update the Wi-Fi Settings on a Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener
- On the garage door opener, clear the Wi-Fi settings by holding the black adjustment button until the LED turns off.
- Note: The adjustment button is the rectangular button between the Up and Down arrow buttons.
- Open the myQ app on your mobile device or tablet.
- In the myQ app, tap on your Initials, in the top left corner.
- Tap Device Management.
- Tap the myQ product that you want to update under HUBS.
- Tap Change Wi-Fi Settings.
- Choose the type of wall control that looks like yours and follow the instructions to activate Wi-Fi learn mode.
- You can also press and release the yellow learn button on the motor unit 3 times to activate Wi-Fi learn mode on certain models.
Tap Menu > Use the down arrow and select Program by tapping the side arrow > Use the down arrow and select Wi-Fi Setup by tapping the side arrow. Lift the button cover and press and release the learn button. Press and hold the learn button (side) for 6 seconds, the LED under the front button will begin to flash.
- You can also press and release the yellow learn button on the motor unit 3 times to activate Wi-Fi learn mode on certain models.
- In the myQ app, tap Next.
- If you hear a beep, tap Yes.
- Apple users: Tap Join to connect to the network myQ-NNN. Android users go to step 11.
- Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your network password and tap Next. Your garage door opener is now connecting.
- Tap Finish on the success screen.
- Go back to the Devices screen.

How to Update the Wi-Fi Settings on a Smart Garage Control, myQ Smart Garage Hub or myQ Garage
- Open the myQ app on your mobile device or tablet.
- Tap on your Initials, in the top left corner.
- Tap Device Management.
- Tap the hub that you want to update under HUBS.
- Tap Change Wi-Fi Settings.
- Choose the color of the LED on the front of the Smart Garage Hub
- Blinking blue - automatically starts setup
- Solid blue - unplug the hub and plug back in
- Blinking green - clear Wi-Fi settings (see below)
- Blinking blue and green - clear Wi-Fi settings (see below)
- Apple users: Tap Join to connect to the network myQ-NNN. Android users continue to step 8.
- Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your network password and tap Next. Your Hub is now connecting to the internet
- Tap Finish on the success screen.
- Go back to the Devices screen.
Clear Wi-Fi Settings on Your Smart Garage Control, Smart Garage Hub, myQ Garage or myQ Home Bridge
- Locate the Settings button on the Hub.
- Press and hold the Settings button until the LED light on the hub goes to a flashing blue.
How to update the Wi-Fi settings on an Integrated Camera or Smart Garage Camera
- Perform a factory reset on the camera
- Smart Garage Camera: Using a paper clip, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. Once released, the LED light should turn off and then turn solid white.
- Integrated Camera: With your camera open, locate the button on the side of the integrated camera. Press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Once released, the LED light should turn off and then turn solid white.
- Log into your myQ account
- Tap the your Initials in the upper left corner
- Tap Device Management
- Find the Camera you want to delete;
- Apple iOS Devices: Press and swipe left
- Android Devices: Press and hold
- Tap Delete, then tap Yes
- Tap + in the upper right corner
- Select Smart Garage Camera or Secure View Camera
- Check the box next to each item then tap Ready on the Camera Setup screen.
- Note: If Bluetooth is not enabled, a message will appear asking to enable.
- Review and tap Next on the What You Need screen.
- Tap your Camera on the Discovered screen.
- Select your home's Wi-Fi network name from the list.
- Enter your network password and tap Next.
- Name your camera and tap Finish.
- Go back to the Devices screen.
